Custom Programming

The techniques described on the software page are even more powerful when combined other custom programming. Because of the modularity of the applications, any part can be changed efficiently. For instance, the web based front end could be replaced with a native front end. This means a custom windows program could be installed on the your computer. This "native front end" would communicate with the same middle tier and back end as your web based front end.

To better explain this concept, we offer this example:

A company has several salespersons traveling all around the world. At the end of the day each salesperson returns to their hotel room and connects to the internet. They then use the web based front end to file their sales report for the day. The Sales Manager in the company's main office has a native front end installed on his workstation. This front end is designed to compile the sales reports submitted by each salesperson. The native front end would access the same business objects in the middle tier, which in turn would execute a query on the database that has the sales reports filed from around the world. The manager would have his information in real time.
